Lata Biswal is an External Consultant at IIHS, School of Environment and Sustainability. She has done her Bachelors in Applied Geography and Masters in Geography, she also has a background in GIS. She is a Gold medal recipient for Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Geography. She has presented her paper on Knowledge, Attitude, Practices of Municipal Solid Waste Management: A study of Baleshwar Municipality, at ICDES (International Conference on Development, Environment , Sustainability) 2020. She has received training on Psychosocial Care in Disaster Risk Reduction- Enhancing Institutional and Community Resilience to Disasters and Climate Change organised by NIMHANS and UNDP. Her research interest includes understanding migration dynamics, role of village institutions in grassroot governance and adaptive livelihoods in Rural Odisha. In CLAPs project, under WP3 she will be looking at mobility at multiple sites within rural Odisha.
