IIHS conducted two webinars for officials of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). The first, on ‘IT-enabled Applications in Water Supply’, focused on IT-enabled applications in water supply management such as smart metering and reduction of non-revenue water (NRW), the technical and financial implications of modern technologies and IT interventions in leakage detection, pressure management, metering, and billing, and command and control management, using real-time case studies. The second, ‘SCADA Applications in Water and Wastewater Management’, focused on the advantages of using supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) applications in water and wastewater management using the monitoring of a Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) wastewater treatment system as an example, and related case studies. A total of 162 participants have attended the webinars.
