This study evaluated the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY–U) by examining quality of life based on the perceptions of end-users (beneficiaries) in the state of Jharkhand. In particular, the In-Situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), and Beneficiary-led Individual House Construction/Enhancement (BLC-N/E) verticals under the scheme were focused on. This study evaluated government housing schemes from the end-users satisfaction perspective, such as implementation process, social transition, climate design, construction and materials, and finance mechanism.
