IIHS completed a review of news articles related to climate change, to understand how environmental issues and extreme climate events that affected Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are covered in the popular media. The findings were published in a handbook titled, Ways of Telling, which was also translated into Kannada and Tamil. It translates in-depth research on climate change into valuable lessons for journalists in order to navigate this complex space more meaningfully. It focuses on the southern Indian states’ climate-changed future but the bulk of this book details general best practices and compiles links to resources that would be useful for all journalists and students interested in covering environmental change.
