Through this project, IIHS created a set of 40 interdisciplinary cases for teaching and learning set in India and a few other cities of the world. The three thematics of this project were, (i) Practices of Pro-Poor Planning, concerned with needed transformations in actually existing instruments of economic and spatial planning, (ii) Settlement Transformation, concerned with how different communities from slums to informal and popular neighbourhoods develop, upgrade and change, (iii) Metrics, concerned with the flow of information on and about vulnerability and exclusion.
