IIHS held three-day GIS workshops with the aim to provide learners with practical skills and knowledge in geospatial tools and applications. Participants gained hands-on experience with open-source GIS software, learning data acquisition, analysis, and effective map communication. The courses focused on leveraging GIS for diverse fields and applications, aiming to minimise costs and time for participating agencies. They equipped participants with application-oriented GIS knowledge, emphasising data collection, analysis, and web presentation. Professionals, government officials and students benefited from the workshops, gaining insight into GIS software and GPS device usage. A total of 273 participants attended the workshops.
