As part of the Hungry Cities Partnership, IIHS was part of a global consortium of seven cities across the global South studying the links between urbanisation, food security, informality and inclusive growth. As part of the work, IIHS investigated the urban food system of Bengaluru, carried out a household survey on food security, and analysed the informal food economy through a survey of informal food businesses.
