Asha Jhina has diverse experience in journalism and the cultural development sector that has cultivated her keen interest in understanding audiences, curating digital and physical experiences, and innovating public engagement.

At IIHS, she is part of the Word Lab and Library. Her role involves curating and organising dynamic public programming initiatives like City Scripts and Public Texts that resonate across diverse audiences and providing editorial support for various institutional publications. Asha also teaches in the Writing Skill Lab as part of the Urban Fellows Programme.

Within the IIHS Library, Asha drives comprehensive engagement strategies, fostering connections internally and externally. Her focus is to elevate the library’s profile and expand its influence through innovative collaborations.

Previously, Asha has served as a reporter and creative producer with NDTV, The Quint, and Otus Media, covering arts, culture, and technology. Her work in the cultural sphere involved designing strategies and programmes for museums, galleries and cultural institutions, fostering meaningful audience engagement and capacity development. This expertise, grounded in arts, culture and technology, informs her approach to crafting compelling and resonant programming.
