M Monissha began her career at Safe Water Innovation India Private Limited, drafting boilers and pipe designs using AutoCAD. She then worked with Cheralathan Associates as a structural designer, where her responsibilities included drafting structural drawings, designing RCC and steel structures, and visiting sites for inspection. Monissha also worked with the Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) as technical assistant.
At IIHS, Monissha is a part of the City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) project.
