Pancham Singh Rawat worked for over 22 years in the household of Lakshmi Chand Jain, a Gandhian activist and writer, and Devaki Jain, an Indian economist and writer. Pancham has travelled with the Jains and worked extensively within the country and across borders and finally came to Bengaluru. He made Tharangavana his home as a caretaker of this property of the Jains. Pancham has been fortunate to demonstrate his culinary skills for several eminent dignitaries like Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu and his wife Nomalizo Leah Shenxane, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, N K Gujral, and Manmohan Singh, to name a few.
IIHS set up its first office in Bengaluru at Tharangavana. Pancham continues to live in the same premises and extends his services to all the team members and guests of IIHS.
