overview

IIHS is key part of the Technical Assistance consortium preparing the transit-oriented development (TOD), multi-modal integration (MMI), and capacity building (CB) and communications plan for the 2A & 2B metro corridor (blue line, running from Silk Board to KR Puram to Bengaluru International Airport). The scope includes GIS data collation, spatial analysis, development control regulations formulation, planning for affordable housing, innovative economic modeling for land value capture (LVC), and capacity building for line agencies. IIHS also takes the lead in communications planning, ensuring public participation, addressing information gaps, gathering feedback through interviews and workshops, and developing a long-term engagement strategy with stakeholders. The holistic approach aims at fostering TOD while maximising returns on metro investments.
