The IIHS Internship Programme
The IIHS Internship Programme offers students and young scholars an opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary environment shaped by ongoing research, practice and capacity development engagements.
Interns join live projects, contribute meaningfully to ongoing work, and gain exposure to IIHS’ unique approach—integrating research, practice, and teaching to address complex urban challenges across India and the Global South.

Eligibility
Who Should Apply
We look for candidates who are curious, committed, and eager to learn, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and willingness to engage across different activities and areas of work
- Previous academic or professional experience in the chosen field (desirable, but not required)
- Currently pursuing or having recently completed a Master's degree in a relevant discipline
Selection Process

Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with the relevant team to discuss their background, interests and how they can contribute.
Internships are paid positions, primarily located at IIHS Sadashivanagar in Bengaluru, with some opportunities in Delhi and Chennai.
