The IIHS Internship Programme

The IIHS Internship Programme offers students and young scholars an opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary environment shaped by ongoing research, practice and capacity development engagements.

Interns join live projects, contribute meaningfully to ongoing work, and gain exposure to IIHS’ unique approach—integrating research, practice, and teaching to address complex urban challenges across India and the Global South.

Selection Process

How to Apply

Written Submission

Submit your application with a written statement outlining your interests, relevant experience, and what you hope to gain from the internship.

Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with the relevant team to discuss their background, interests and how they can contribute.

Internships are paid positions, primarily located at IIHS Sadashivanagar in Bengaluru, with some opportunities in Delhi and Chennai.
