Aditi Apparaju, a research assistant with the IIHS School of Environment & Sustainability, specialises in examining the relationship between climate change and internal human migration. Her research focuses on understanding the outcomes of migration within low-income communities residing in climate-vulnerable urban areas as well as exploring patterns of immobility among rural populations. As a part of her master’s degree in development studies at the Institute of Development Studies in Sussex, Aditi studied climate change, economic development, sustainability and policy processes, and impact evaluation. Prior to this, in her bachelor’s degree at St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad, Aditi studied economics, public administration, and social management and received a gold medal for being the course-topper for social management. Beyond her academic pursuits, Aditi is a passionate musician and an avid reader.
