Charan V earned his bachelor’s degree in urban design from the Faculty of Planning, CEPT University. He works on research, practice, and capacity building projects at the intersection of inclusive mobility, urban economics, and people-oriented development. At IIHS, he mainly works with the Capacity Development on transit-oriented development (TOD), zonal regulations, multi-modal integration (MMI), and non-motorised transit. He also assists the Urban Informatics Lab in conducting quantitative pilot surveys, qualitative interviews across different economic clusters, and data analysis.
Prior to IIHS, he interned with Urban Design Collective and worked on projects such as the TIDCO Navalur Lake rejuvenation and the Mega Streets project in Chennai. His interests include systems thinking, urban data, and public policy-making. Charan also enjoys playing chess, badminton, and watching Tarantino movies.
