OverView

Kinjal Sampat has worked as a researcher for over a decade. Her focus areas have been inequality, links between growth and employment, and social protection. She has specifically written on income security, low-income housing, employment and micro-enterprise issues. At IIHS, Kinjal engages with imminent questions at the intersections of human and economic development—particularly interrogating the role of nano and micro enterprises in development, employment, and social protection. She has previously worked with the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship, the Centre for Equity Studies and the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies. She holds a master’s in sociology from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, and a master’s in sociology of law from the University of the Basque Country.
