OverView

Rinchen A Lama is an External Consultant at the IIHS School of Environment and Sustainability. Prior to joining IIHS, Rinchen was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the African Climate and Development Initiative, University of Cape Town, where she worked on a project called ‘Climate Resilient Development Pathways in Semi-arid Regions of Africa and Asia’. Rinchen has over nine years of experience working on rural livelihoods, social development and climate change, with special geographical expertise working in the Indian Himalayan region. She has worked in academic and practice-based organisations in India and the UK, including the University of Reading, University of East Anglia, International Alert, Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) and Pragya.
