Shashwati B has several years of experience as a communication design professional, primarily in the development sector. Her main interest has been to explore the role that design can play in the outreach and communication efforts of small and medium-sized social organisations. Her motivation to choose this focus was to do work that is creatively challenging and fulfilling at the same time. This interest has taken her on many interesting journeys with work touching themes as diverse as urban composting, rainwater harvesting, equitable tourism, farmers organisations and more. As an individual, Shashwati is inspired by many things: philosophy, art, music, nature and people. Artistic exploration is something that she tries to keep alive in herself always.
At IIHS, Shashwati’s role includes supporting design and other initiatives, focusing on especially the visual design of IIHS’ internal and external communications.
