Sona Mewati’s research at IIHS focuses on the qualitative analysis of value extraction strategies employed by platform companies, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of the complex intersections between informality, gender, and labour within these emerging landscapes. Sona’s current research interests lie in fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, particularly at the crossroads of science and technology studies (STS) and labour studies.
