Vrashali Khandelwal is a part of the Academics & Research team at IIHS. Her research interests include urban infrastructure, urban governance and social protection. Prior to joining IIHS, Vrashali worked on multiple government consulting projects. As part of the Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates programme, she worked with the District Administration of Sirsa for process re-engineering of revenue and transport services. She has also worked on the SATH-E (Sustainable Action for Transforming Human Capital Education) project, focusing on building systemic reforms for the School Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. In 2019, she joined EY LLP as part of the urban government advisory practice and was involved in drafting building bye-laws for Bureau of Indian Standards and implementation of flagship schemes at the state and city level. Her most recent engagement was with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation where she anchored research for documenting the gastronomy culture of Hyderabad, for inclusion in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). Vrashali was a Fellow of the Urban Fellows Programme at IIHS in 2017–18. Besides work, she loves going for walks and spending her weekends at public parks.
