Phase I of this project aimed to understand disaster resilience leadership in the Indian context, focusing on initiatives within formal and informal institutional frameworks for disaster risk reduction and response. Phase II continued this effort, resulting in the India Disaster Resilience Leadership Course. Objectives included studying leadership types for Indian disaster resilience, identifying initiatives in formal and informal frameworks, exploring autonomous resilience-building efforts, and pinpointing leadership best practices and gaps in disaster risk reduction and response. These projects collectively sought to enhance disaster resilience leadership in the country through comprehensive research and a dedicated training course.
