This study evaluated the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY–U) by assessing the quality of life based on the perceptions of end-users (beneficiaries) in the state of Jharkhand. It focused specifically on the In-Situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), and Beneficiary-led Individual House Construction/Enhancement (BLC-N/E) verticals of the scheme. The evaluation examined government housing schemes from the end-users' satisfaction perspective, considering aspects such as the implementation process, social transition, climate design, construction materials, and financial mechanisms.
