IIHS, in partnership with HCL Foundation, promoted improved water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) practices in Kannagi Nagar, Chennai, through behaviour change initiatives, community outreach, youth leadership and awareness sessions. Approximately 2,500 residents were engaged with key messages on hygiene, menstrual health and clean water. Youth and women have been trained as peer educators and WASH Warriors, fostering community-led advocacy. Community events, water testing, and stakeholder meetings have further strengthened engagement. Plans are underway to reinforce and expand these initiatives in the following year.
