Start Year

01/01/2024

End Year

31/12/2024

overview

This study evaluates the integration of climate resilience, disaster resilience, and net-zero energy efficiency features into India's PMAY-G rural housing program. It proposes specific housing upgrades to address risks like floods and extreme heat, accompanied by detailed cost-benefit analysis. IIHS has assessed previous PMAY-G implementations and developed a comprehensive framework encompassing design improvements, implementation strategies, and Monitoring-Evaluation-Learning (MEL) systems to effectively incorporate resilience measures into future rural housing development.
