Prakruti Mehta is an ecologist, who largely works on community ecology, urban ecology and plant-animal interactions. She completed her master’s in environmental science. Prior to IIHS, she worked at the Centre for Ecological Sciences, IISc, Bengaluru. She has worked across various taxa: butterflies, parasitoid wasps and flies to birds and snails. Her masters' dissertation focused on the invasive giant African snail. She's also worked with institutions like Azim Premji University, Ecomorphosys, and The Naturalist School.
At IIHS, she works with the IIHS Long-Term Urban Ecological Observatory (LTUEP), specifically on birds and butterflies.
