Vidhya is an architect, urbanist, and illustrator with a strong interest in sustainable mobility, ecosystem restoration, and participatory urban planning. A graduate in Architecture from SRM University, Kattankulathur, she brings over five years of professional experience integrating design, research, and public engagement in urban projects.

Vidhya spent three years as an Associate at Urban Design Collective, Chennai, contributing to projects such as Kochi Cycles4Change, Chennai Megastreets, Navalur Lake Rejuvenation, Peruvanam Cultural Mapping, and Capacity Building for Municipal Engineers from Tamil Nadu on Non-Motorized Transport.

She later joined Sensing Local, Bengaluru, where she worked for two years focusing on wayfinding design and placemaking, leading projects like “Banni Nodi – 500 Years of Bengaluru History, KR Market” and “Walkable Malleswaram.”

A Jane Jacobs Fellow at the Centre for the Living City for three years, Vidhya’s work reflects her belief in the power of visual communication and storytelling to shape how urban interventions are perceived, experienced, and internalized. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges design thinking, spatial practice, and community engagement to create more inclusive and sustainable cities.
